There was a time when Ferrari insisted it would never build a crossover. Yet, fast forward a few years, and the Purosangue emerged—a high-riding, four-door Ferrari that the company refuses to call an SUV.
Built on the same platform as the Roma, the Purosangue has a front mid-engine layout and all-wheel drive. More importantly, it stays true to Ferrari’s high-performance heritage, featuring a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine. With 715 horsepower and 528 lb-ft (716 Nm) of torque, it can sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in just 3.3 seconds and reach speeds beyond 193 mph (310 kph). It’s a remarkable machine that blends practicality with supercar DNA.
A Ferrari Pickup?
While Ferrari is currently developing its first electric vehicle—though likely avoiding the term “EV”—one thing the brand has no plans for is a pickup truck. That hasn’t stopped digital artists from imagining what such a vehicle might look like.
The latest concept, created by Instagram user srkdesignsin, envisions a bold, high-performance Ferrari pickup, unofficially named the Camioncino—Italian for “small truck.” This two-door, adventure-ready design features a cargo bed, raised suspension, rugged plastic cladding, and chunky off-road tires. The unmistakable Ferrari front grille and Prancing Horse badging complete the look.
However, despite its off-road styling, the Camioncino would likely be a unibody vehicle with no low-range gearbox, making it more of a stylish statement than a true off-road workhorse. While it’s an exciting idea, Ferrari is unlikely to invest in a pickup, meaning this concept will remain purely a digital dream.
